The BMW does not only produce cars; as a matter of fact one of its most earliest products was their motorcycle. The R32 BMW motorcycle was the first to be introduced, back in the year 1932. Decades ago this R series further developed and had their own trademark both in the racing world as well as in the commercial market.

The “boxer twin” engine came with the first BMW motorcycle and had cooled cylinders sticking out from opposing sides of the machine for a superior cooling mechanism, which was very unique for that time. In addition they also produced the K, G, and F series shortly after that. One unique feature was the addition of the lockable differential technology, which gave the motorcycles the capability for off-road use as well.

Measuring up to the Brand’s Name

One of the primary reasons as to why people love the BMW motorcycle, compared to other widely known brands is that they give both a relaxed and comfortable ride as well as a sporty feel to them. Additionally, they have a very majestic and big look, however they are very light in essence, which is excellent for when you’re riding off-road.

Back in 1993 a revolutionary change came into the R series BMW motorcycle. The newly introduced BMW R series motorcycle were now oil cooled and were equipped with four valves per cylinder. After that in 2004, double spark plugs per cylinder were added, together with a balance shaft.

This gave the motorcycle much more power, rising to 100 hp or a capacity of 1200 CC. If your desire is to have a very powerful but also comfortable motorcycle, you probably will not want to miss this BMW motorcycle series. This is basically because the motorcycle can be used for both common daily usage as well as rough riding.

Sophisticated Performance Classes For Everyone

At present BMW has four primary motorcycle series, they include the G, F, R, and K series. The classes of engines are actually what the series are based on. The current F. series was introduced back in 1994 as the F650, with an engine that has four valves, single piston, with a 650 cc four stroke design and chain drive.

It was initially introduced as an entry-level BMW motorcycle, and subsequently was redesigned about six years after that with a different label, the F650GS. Presently, the most notable F series motorcycles are the 800S sports series motorcycle and the F800ST sports tour version.

The off-road versions of these motorcycles were introduced as G series and manufactured in cooperation with Aprilia. This particular series of BMW motorcycle is equipped with a 650 CC engine capable of producing 53 BHP. In a heavier range is the K series BMW motorcycle, that is competitive to the Japanese premier sport motorcycles.

This particular series is exceedingly fast and can achieve speeds of up to 280 kmph. The design of the current R series was constructed on the basis of the older R series, but much improved. And the latest R’s, which are the R1150R, R1200S, and the R1200R, are capable of producing 122 hp, and is nearly as powerful as the low-end luxury car.

Speeding down the highway in a large luxury V8, feeling the thrill of the engine and the friction in the wheels is perhaps the most exhilarating feeling many can experience.

Combining luxury, sportiness and appearance is becoming increasingly important in today’s car industry. The Nissan Infiniti M45 is one car which has accomplished this combination not only with flair, but also with an undoubted and understandable financial success.

The Infiniti M45 is a large 4.5-liter (4,494cc) 32-valve V8 luxury car, and with a massive 325 horsepower engine, it is undeniably one of the most powerful luxury cars on the market today. At 4000rpm, the torque is 336 lb-ft, and this means that the car remains steady on inclined planes when travelling at less than its maximum capable speed. The titanium valved engine makes the car both durable and capable of immense speeds from its powerful 6500rpm engine.

In addition to engine power, the Infiniti M45 is also a luxury car, with a plush leather interior and varnished wood decoration, and is a classical mix of old and new. With the included ipod interface and GPS navigation, the M45 is clearly at the forefront of car technology. One of the most valuable upgrades is obtaining the Studio Surround Sound system, which boasts a massive 14 speakers, strategically placed around the car interior. This provides a dynamic, vibrant and energetic musical experience combined with a balance of sound throughout the whole vehicle.

Other optional features include the sport-tuned suspension and sport steering wheel as well as decorative enhancements like aluminium pedal accents and Split 5-spoke, 19 x 8.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. It can be enhancements like these that distinguish your car on the road regardless of where you are in the world.

The Infiniti M45 is often compared to its most popular competitor, the BMW M3 as they are both mid-size luxury cars. However, whilst the BMW has the slight advantage in luxury accouterments, the M45 has a clear lead in engine power, being the fastest in its class (0-60 5.4 seconds).

In conclusion, the Infiniti M45 remains an ideal choice for those looking for a luxury car that can combine both comfort and engine power with a striking visual appearance. Whilst the M45 is relatively expensive, compared with others in its class such as the BMW M3 and the Subaru STI, the Infiniti M45 remains a reasonable price.

For the best mix of power and comfort, you really need look no further than the Infiniti M45.

For OE fitment to its new M3 Coupe, BMW has chosen Michelin’s Pilot Sport tire. The new M3 has a 414bhp V-8 engine and is promoted by BMW M GmbH as a racecar tire for daily use. It can be deduced that Michelin selects its ultimate sports tire, developed in consonance with engineers from BMW M, as a rational option.

Michelin stated BMW M GmbH has selected a racing tire made for the street to ensure that its new coupe tightly grips the road and feels like a Formula 1 race car. The tire manufacturer equipped the cars which won both the Driver and the Constructors championships two years in a row. Since the release of the first generation model, Michelin tires have equipped the BMW M3. The manufacturer also fitted other cars produced by BMW M, including the M5 and M6.

What’s the fourth generation M3?

The E92 model is a car that first arrived in 1986. It had a four-cylinder engine with around 200bhp back then. But now, the new car doubles that with a V8 and 414bhp, but the basic ingredients are retained: rear-wheel drive, a limited slip differential and a motorsport-inspired engine that revs to a gigantic 8400rpm.

The M3 will cost £50,625 when it starts its sales early September in the UK. A BMW reset tool may come with it.

At first, it will be available only as a two-door coupe. Expected to follow next year is a convertible and four-door saloon. The broaden range is hoped to help break the 100,000-unit barrier for the first time. However, the last M3 – 2000’s six-cylinder E46 – is a tough act to follow.

The M3 gets two more cylinders. And some auto journalists view the move as a brave one and something that transformed the M3 from a motorsport product to the international icon it is today.

The last car’s 3.2-litre six-cylinder wouldn’t meet forthcoming emissions regulations and rivals upped the game with V8s, leaving Munich with no other option but to match them. The American market has been a big consideration too. Fifty percent of all cars expected to go on the Stateside.

Therefore, this is the first time the M3 has largely changed since 1992.

And just like in 1992, the E92 will leave the hardcore craving more. Now, a nice woo fly warble under lighter throttle loads precedes a hard-edged charge for the red line. The spine-tingling zinginess of the E46 car is also gone. It is now replaced by a more mature but still exhilarating, progression.

The quest for a high-revving engine has not surprisingly left a hole in the torque low down, so you need to be able to stir that six-speed manual, which is the only option for now though SMG will follow, to really get moving. The box is carried over from the E46 and obviously shares its characteristics: direct but a bit stiff.

What your car communicates about your personality? If you are wanting to "communicate" a favourable impression (eg. sexy, sporty, adventurous, conservative, etc.) to others, and IF you have the economic resources to purchase the desired vehicle to create that impression, regardless of all the reasons why the purchase is NOT really based on "practicality," then you can purchase a care that does communicate "you" to others.

I guess what YOU think your choice in vehicle communicates, however, may differ from what others interpret, since we are all capable of independent assessment skills.

With focus now on the question itself, colour, style, brand, features, add-ons, size, capabilities, other qualities, all communicate something about you.

I think it would also be worthwhile to reassure those who cannot afford to "choose" what they really want, that even if your vehicle is abit used, abit of a "junker", maintain it as well as you can. Even maintenance, that "clean, cared for" appearance, communicates alot about you; although, the younger folk may not be as appreciative of that part of your personality.

I haven’t really commented on specific qualities here, because they are so varied. I will, however, mention that my first vehicle in the late 70’s, I was able to purchase because my father had impressed upon me that I must be able to pay "cash" for my "first car." You can bet I was older than most people when I purchased my first vehicle as a result. Although I always wanted something "sporty" (a Jeep CJ), with my father’s gentle advice, I settled instead for a Ford Mercury Capri, light flat blue. And, you know, that little "baby" lasted me like, 10 years! I received many compliments about the colour and style, as well as my upkeep of it (the "maintenance" part of it), that is until I married, had baby, and worked full-time. The colour blue, for me, communicated some restraint, yet calm, cool demeanor. The style communicated again, some restraint and orderliness, a desire to remain in the background. It served me for that decade of time in a very practical way, although my spouse always teased me about my choice (his premarital transportation included used BMW motorcycles and a used CORVETTE). After marriage, I allowed him to sell my Capri in order to purchase a well-used but "clean, maintained"-appearing VOLVO. Unfortunately, this "Volvo" had "issues" unknown to him at purchase, for which we suffered the consequences later, financially.

Although my spouse still scans the online market for his "dream" car – currently, I believe it revolves on a "Camaro" of some type – we try to maintain our current SUV, which has deteriorated over the past 8 years, because we will not be able to afford a replacement any time in the future.

In conclusion then, just remember to question yourself about why you are purchasing a particular vehicle. If you aren’t good enough without a particular type of vehicle, then you may not be good enough without it either. Eventually, people do see and get to know who you are, with or without the vehicle.

The first motorcycles were in fact just simply motorized bicycles that had engines attached to bike frames. Over the years they have developed into very complicated machines. Technology was put to work to increase control, fuel economy, speed and comfort. If you have a BMW motorcycle and you own the bike for an extended period of time, you are, at some point, going to need BMW motorcycle parts. You can buy new parts but used BMW motorcycle parts are often just as good and are available at a much better price. All separate components have their own purposes, but they depend on the other parts around them.

A Small Lesson in Motorcycle Anatomy

The motorcycle chassis

This is one of the most important motorcycle parts. It includes the frame, suspension and front forks. The frame is typically made from welded steel or aluminum struts with the rear suspension included as an integral component. Expensive frames can even be constructed from carbon fiber or titanium. The frame includes the head tube that holds the pivoting front fork.

Suspension

The front suspension is often built into the front fork, but the rear suspension is optional. Chopper motorcycles usually forgo the rear suspension and use a rigid frame instead. The rear suspension can consist of several arrangements, including dual shocks, traditional mono-shock suspensions or soft-tail style suspensions. The front fork holds the front wheel and allows the rider to steer. Of all the motorcycle parts, the front fork is the most critical part for steering.

Other motorcycle parts

- the engine (vertical single, vertical twin, V-twin, opposed twin, in-line triple and in-line four)

- transmission (five or six forward gears, reverse gear)

- tires

- brakes (drum or disc based, with disc brakes being the most common on larger motorcycles)

- final drive (chain drive, belt drives or shaft drive)

- instruments (Speedometers, odometers, tachometers and fuel gauges)

There are special companies that deal only in new or used BMW motorcycle parts, they are solely focused on the BMW brand. This means that if you are looking for a special part you will have a very good change these kind of companies can help you. They often have new and used parts off the shelf what means they can deliver quick and at a good price.

Buying At Motorcycle salvage yards

A real good option if you really want to save as much money as possible are motorcycle salvage yards. There are many of these businesses around the world, but the best will be you local salvage yard. If they know you and know what you are looking for , they can contact you if they have used BMW motorcycle parts they think will fit your bike.

Just remember that if you are buying used parts you will need to put a bit more effort into checking the parts before you buy them. You need to make sure a part is not damaged or deformed. But if you put just that little bit of time and effort into looking for the right used BMW motorcycle parts you should be able to find just what you need, and for a great price.

BMW Roadster-a super fast car

Many lovers of German cars who are still too young for a Mercedes prefer a car from the BMW factory in Munich. In 1985, BMW laid the cornerstone for its new design studio,Technik GmbH. More than 100 car fans were able to enjoy themselves under the guidance of Ulrich Benz with pencil, paper, plaster and plastic.

The new sporting car made its first test drive in less than two years. The model was named the Z1. It was a two-person roadster which could be sold since October 1988. For only 80,000 DM the buyer could be sure of an extremely pleasant driving or riding experience. The body was a semi-monocoque with a very low sill line. The upper border of the windshield served at the same time as a roll bar.The body was made of steel. The luggage compartment lid and the side panels were made of plastic. The doors of the Z1 were interesting. A system patented by BMW was used that made it possible for the doors to be sunken into the sills. The door-window glasses went down automatically by electric control. The wheel suspension came from the BMW 3 series and the six-cylinder engine from the 325i powered the rear wheels. Because of the limited car space, the spare wheel-absent. Everybody could get it for at an extra cost. In the autumn of 1991, the last Z1 left the factory. Exactly 8,000 were built. The successor of the Z1 was the D. This car was designed especially for the American market. It was produced in the United States. The Z3 had more of the 507 from the fifties. The ZI was built in a limited series, but BMW had big plans for the new car: to dominate a good part of the roadster market with it after the price had been adjusted. The car’s price, in the cheapest version with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, was less than the purchase price of the Z1. The more expensive version was equipped with a 1.9liter engine with two camshafts and four instead of two valves per cylinder. This engine had 140 hp performance, 25 hp more than its smaller brother. But even in this adaptation, the roadster cost only 10% more than the 1.8-liter model.

BMW dominated with these two models on the market and could meet the competition with equanimity. But the competitors were active, too. BMW was forced to provide the car with a more powerful engine (enough space was under the engine hood). In the winter of 1996-1997, the Z3 appeared with a six-cylince, 2.8-liter 24 valve engine and a 3.2-liter from the M series. The last model was called the M Roadster. The program was complete now and there was a Z3 Roadster for each show. They were super fast cars which could compete with the Mercedes SLK or the Porsche Boxster. The prices grew with the growing amount of hp. BMW cars were selling well and in October 1996 more than 35,000 Z3s were produced in America. Half of these were exported (mostly to Germany). The rest remained in the United States. Between 250 and 300 cars have been produced per day in the United States since 1997. The Z3 and the BMW Roadster were still selling sporting cars when BMW presented its new model, the Z07, in November 1997 at the Tokyo Motor Show. The car seemed to be a clear successor to other sporting cars. The Z07 was was built of an aluminum space frame. The body was made largely of alloys. As for the motor, the makers were rather secretive, but it is almost sure that the car is powered by the new 5.0 literV8 engines with 400 hp installed in the M5 during the autumn of 1998. The model was introduced onto the market in the 1990s.
