As far as minivans go, the Dodge Caravan seemed to be among the top pics–ten years ago. Since then, heavy competition has been seen from Chevy, Kia, Toyota, Ford and Honda

For years, Toyota’s reputation for excellence has exceeded, by far, everyone’s standard for car-building, and made other car makers sit up and take notice. Their impeccable track record includes safety, convenience, luxury and value, and they haven’t disappointed us yet. According to Consumer Reports, the Toyota Sienna netted an impressive 93 score card, with excellent crash-test results, giving it its winning title.

Not only is it roomy, versatile and well built, but it feels like driving a car, not a van, which could be very appealing to those “Soccer Moms.”

The Toyota Sienna now has four trim levels: CE, LE, XLE and Limited, and all four levels have front wheel drive (FWD) as standard, while the upper three levels can be equipped with optional all-wheel drive.

Passenger seating is for either seven or eight, and is available with nine trims, including the CE FWD with seven-passenger seating, and the XLE Limited AWD. The Toyota Sienna also succeeds in getting 18-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway.
