Toyota has hit the bullseye again by developing a moderately priced Mid-size sedan with the appearance of a luxury model, the 2009 Toyota Avalon XL. With the components and sleek design lines of a higher priced car, the 2009 Toyota Avalon XL gives all consumers a chance to drive and afford the very best. At a starting price of $27,895, the 2009 Toyota Avalon XL gets outstanding gas mileage – 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway, with an amazing performance, interior and safety package to boot.

The exterior of the 2009 Toyota Avalon XL looks like any other $50,000 luxury car, but at almost half the price. From the multi-reflector halogen headlamps to the tinted tail lamps onward to the color keyed bumpers and power outside mirrors, the 2009 Toyota Avalon means business. The 16 inch alloy wheels, high solar energy absorbing glass and dual rear exhaust outlets give the 2009 Toyota Avalon a classic yet unique look.

The 2009 Toyota Avalon owes it’s superior performance to a 3.5 Liter, DOHC 24 valve V-6 engine, that offers a 268 Horsepower output at 6,200 RPM’s, and a 6 speed electronically controlled automatic overdrive transmission. A smooth ride is assured by front and rear stabilizer bars and a McPherson strut front and rear suspension with offset coil springs. The 2009 Toyota Avalon has excellent stopping power due to 4 wheel disc brakes with an anti-lock brake system and electronic brake force distribution. The variable assist power rack-and-pinion steering make the 2009 Toyota Avalon a pleasure to drive with easy control.

The engineers responsible for the interior of the 2009 Toyota Avalon should get a raise, or at least a free Avalon. A fabric adjustable power drivers seat, adjustable tilt and telescoping steering wheel with audio and climate controls, and a center console storage area with a sliding armrest and dual cup holders are wonderful components. Power windows and door locks, front seat maplights and rear seat reading lights, and remote trunk, hood and fuel door releases make the 2009 Toyota Avalon a true luxury car. An audio system consisting of an AM/FM stereo with a CD player and MP3 capabilities and 9 great speakers give passengers of the 2009 Toyota Avalon a unique sound experience.

With driver and front passenger front and side airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags, and even a driver’s knee airbag the 2009 Toyota Avalon is as safe as any vehicle on the road. The front and rear crumple zones, side impact door beams and a head impact protection structure make the 2009 Toyota Avalon a thing of beauty in safety engineering.

From an overall perspective, the 2009 Toyota Avalon is easily one of the best cars of 2009.
